Andrei has been hacking on a toy that uses the OpenCV library to find faces in images. I was feeding it some images to try it out, and it found a “face” in an unexpected place in this image from my wedding. Kind of creepy.

I’m not sure if i should be totally weirded out, or wow’d with the coolness of an application that can do that.
I suppose, if you can’t decide, you could at least be comforted that it’s kind of slow and often inaccurate. :)
Any claims as to the inaccuracy of the app should be addressed to Intel’s R&D. Slowness is all mine though.
yeah – uh- I see no faces to be weirded out by. What bothers me is the large crowds of people standing around the mall looking at that static stuff- I can’t see those either.
Jeg var alene hjemme en kveld og jeg hørte en lyd på kjøkkenet så jeg gikk inn på kjøkkenet og da så jeg et spøkelse sitte ved boret.
Så jeg klikka helt og løpte ut og for å være helt ærlig:jeg gråt.
Etterpå så kom mora mi hjem men jeg var ikke i huset så mora mi ringte etter meg og spurte hvor jeg var og da sa jeg at jeg var ute for jeg så et spøkelse.
Mora mi trodde ikke på det så hun sa at jeg skulle komme inn igjen så jeg kom inn igjen og fortalte alt sammen.
PS. Jeg kom så psytreatisk avdeling i en måned.
