Holidays Again

So it seems it’s a holiday weekend again. I only really know about holidays because I can’t schedule any training the week of them. Personally I don’t care much about any holidays.

It’s so odd to not get any emails, though. I keep wondering if there is something wrong with my email client. There’s nothing wrong, just nobody working this weekend.

Except me. Sigh.

Tasty Ripoff

I do most of my grocery shopping at Tops Markets. Regular price of Sprite at Tops is normally $4.29 per 12-pack. Problem is, the same thing at Wal-Mart is around $2.50. Sometimes Tops will price-match Wal-Mart by marking their Sprite as $2.50, if you use your Bonus Card.

This week I noticed that they have Sierra Mist for 5/$10, or $2 each. It’s regularly $4.39, so using your Bonus Card, you get $2.39 off per 12-pack.

I’m drinking Sierra Mist tonight.

Upcoming Travels

I just booked a bunch of flights for my upcoming travels. I will be going to San Francisco, New York, and London for a MySQL Migration Roadshow. After that I’ll swing over to Malta for the MySQL Developers’ Conference.

If you read the rest of this post, you’ll find my entire itinerary. In case you’re in any of these cities and want to meet up, let me know!

Thursday

You’ve all missed out on a wonderful conversation…

J: What day is it?
A: Wednesday.
J: *checks calendar* Hmm, it’s Thursday.
A: No, it’s Wednesday, yesterday was Tuesday.
J: Er, no, it’s 2:30am, it’s officially Thursday.
A: Did you check the calendar?
J: Yes, and it says it’s Thursday.
A: No, it’s Wednesday!
