Today I got my Swedish Permanent Residency sticker applied to my passport. So now we are all set with the government!
Still not sure of exactly when we’ll be moving, but we’re looking at November.

Streaming and Open Source
On Slashdot today there was a mention of a new video streaming technology, Flumotion, made by Fluendo. It’s 100% open source technology from end-to-end, including the video codec.
What’s amazing really, is that it’s absolutely amazing video. A 32k/s stream gets you very nice video and audio. They use Ogg Vorbis/Theora as a video codec. The player is written in Java. Amazing.
