Informative Subjects

A minor rant: The Subject field in any email should be used to provide a few word summary, not so much a “subject”. I wish they would’ve called the field “Summary” instead. Subjects such as these are not useful:

  • plans
  • tomorrow
  • question
  • trouble

Provide a few word summary instead, it’ll make you a much more liked email user.

  1. I saw an email today that had <eom> denoting the end of message. Since it was only a three word subject it worked well. I knew I could then delete it without looking at the body
