Upcoming Travels

I just booked a bunch of flights for my upcoming travels. I will be going to San Francisco, New York, and London for a MySQL Migration Roadshow. After that I’ll swing over to Malta for the MySQL Developers’ Conference.

If you read the rest of this post, you’ll find my entire itinerary. In case you’re in any of these cities and want to meet up, let me know!

Passport Full

Well, it was bound to happen… after four years of travelling for MySQL AB I have now officially filled up my passport.

I sent my and Adrienne’s passports to the Swedish Consulate in New York to get our Permanent Residency visa stickers entered into them, and I got a call today saying that my passport is full and they have nowhere to attach my visa sticker. So I have to get a new passport before they can attach it.

Doh. So now I have to get a new passport expedited so I can have it in time to leave for London and Malta. How fun!

Special Treatment

While going through airport security today, the person behind me set off the metal detector, and as they generally don’t give you more than one try anymore, the person was pointed towards the manual search lane.

The security person said “looks like you get special treatment“.

In case you don’t know why I am posting this, or why I thought that was interesting, ask google.
