It’s not uncommon to see geeks with personalized license plates in Silicon Valley. It’s a strange thing to see, but somehow makes sense. Some of my favorites so far:

Last night, Adrienne and I ate at Kabul Afghan Cuisine in Sunnyvale. Very tasty food! I got some sort of lamb kebab, which also had cherry tomatoes and onions and such on it. I did the normal “kebab unloading manoeuvre”, pushing on the top piece of lamb with my fork.
These things should come with a warning. Of course you could imagine what happened, with a nicely softened grilled tomato on the skewer in the middle, the lamb at the bottom holding on for dear life… the tomato took a hit. It exploded, showering me with hot tomato juice and seeds.
Yes yes, a warning.
Adrienne and I went out over the weekend for her 21st birthday. We hit up a few bars and a nightclub. The injustice occurred at the nightclub, where, as a guy, I had to pay a $20 cover charge, and Adrienne was of course free. So much for all sexes being equal. :)
Last night, Adrienne and I went to see Whose Line Is It Anyway: An Evening with Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood at the Flint Center in Cupertino.
At the end, they did a thing where they walked around, blindfolded and barefoot with one hundred live mousetraps on the stage. Funny stuff.

I noticed recently on Gmail that the login page has changed ever-so-slightly. They are now officially calling the Gmail login a “Google Account”, and it works for more than just Gmail. There is currently a small list of services usable with a Google Account.
We live in interesting times…
